Role Model: Kruti Shah

What is a Role Model? Not too long ago, we decided that it wasn't enough to cast fashion models based on height and comp cards. We wanted to showcase the stories of real people, who are brave enough to wear their label. Kruti is one of those Role Models.

Hi everyone! My name is Kruti and I'm from  Southern California. Currently, I am working towards a career in healthcare, by working part-time and volunteering with children with early developmental delays. On the side, I've tapped into my passion of healthy eating and cooking with my food blog, which can be found on Instagram (_@kruti). My interests grew from my eating disorder and it's become one of my favorite hobbies to be able to connect, and inspire others towards a better self by eating pretty, inspiring healthy and most of all loving yourself unconditionally. Our vulnerabilities are our greatest strength.

Our vulnerabilities are our greatest strength.

"Something that I want to do is being able to connect with other people and talk about what I’m going through, talk about my struggle, help it empower me instead of exhaust me. And what I’m working on is really accepting myself and being comfortable with who I am.

You are beautiful, you are worthy, and you are enough."

I like your comments about healthy eating and taping into that within your food blog. Many folks deal with eating disorders and one of the things that the FDA has done is help with the Food Nutrition Labeling to make it easier to see what is in the food we eat. They have added larger fonts, and boarders along with calling out the added sugar to help folks know more about what they are eating when they buy food in the stores. Not sure if this fits with your total topic, but as I was reading about the food blog and eating disorders, this make me think of the new labeling requirements and I thought I would share it with you.
